Taye Diggs, New Girl

Taye Diggs will play a new romantic interest for Zooey Deschanel's lead character, Jess, in Tuesday’s episode (9/8c) of the FOX comedy, New Girl.

Diggs is playing a character named Artie, who's described as a "smooth, confident ladies' man," who has his eyes set on Jess, which is kind of a problem for her because she's in a new relationship with another character, Nick, played by Jake Johnson

Tomorrow night's episode will also see the return of the character played by Damon Wayans Jr., named Coach (he was in the pilot episode), in what will be a multi-episode arc.

So with 2 black men on New Girl tomorrow night, will the show set any ratings records? It seems to be going around - add a black actor (or two) to a TV series' cast... enjoy strong (and even historic) ratings.

Up next for Mr Diggs, look for him on the big screen in The Best Man Holiday, out next week. Meanwhile, Damon Wayans Jr. stars in a comedy feature titled Marry Barry, which will be out on February 132014.

Fox has released a preview of tomorrow night's episode, which I should add might be a bit NSFW:

It doesn't even make sense in this case, though. People have been clamoring for Wayans to return since he left the show. The creators/producers loved him so much that they refused to reshoot the pilot in case there was an opportunity for him return. Sadly, Happy Endings was cancelled, that opportunity presented itself, and they made good on what they wanted all along.

It's good to see Wayans back, but it's going to take a moment to get used to him playing this character again. I loved him as Brad.

OH YEEEAH BABY, it's photos like this that will make me run right out to see "The Best Man 2: Even Mo Betta"! I'll be right there with all the gay dudes and lonely ladies in their 40's.

Men, ask yourselves why you're so threatened by the Best Man sequel. Also ask yourselves why you're so dismissive of women in their 40s and homosexuals Are they not valid audience members? Do their dollars and tastes not count?

This woman in her 20s grew up loving The Best Man, got to see a preview of the sequel a couple months ago, and is excited to see the finished product when it opens. Y'all really, really have so much animosity towards projects targeted to women and it's f*cking stupid.
