Taye Diggs has joined the cast of the critically acclaimed CBS drama series "The Good Wife," for the show’s upcoming 6th season.

In a recurring role, Diggs will appear in multiple episodes as a character named Dean Levine-Wilkins, who's described as a meticulous and talented equity partner at Lockhart/Gardner, who decides to throw in his lot with Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) and follow her to Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Cary’s (Matt Czuchry) company, Florrick/Agos.

"We couldn't be more excited to have Taye on the show," said Executive Producers/Showrunners Robert and Michelle King. "We’ve been huge fans for years, and love his ability to play comedy and drama with equal ease."

"The Good Wife" returns for its 6th season on Sunday, September 21 (9-10PM, ET/PT) on CBS.

"The Good Wife" stars Julianna Margulies, Christine Baranski, Matt Czuchry, Archie Panjabi, Makenzie Vega, Alan Cumming, Matthew Goode and Zach Grenier.

It is produced by Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions in association with CBS Television Studios. Ridley Scott, Robert King, Michelle King, Brooke Kennedy, David W. Zucker, Ted Humphrey, Keith Eisner, Leonard Dick and Craig Turk are executive producers.

Diggs can currently be seen in the new TNT crime drama series "Murder in the First," from Steven Bochco.

My gripe is with the Hallmark channel. I've been buying their cards all my life! So have most black folks. I was happy when they first presented their ethnic oriented greeting cards. However, it is past time that Hallmark include their TV channel. I love light romantic made for TV movies reflected by Hallmark. Unfortunately, I've yet to see any one of their movies star an all black cast! Or even a mixed cast with Black leads! All I see are black "best friend" roles, always giving advice -but never with a home or love life of their own. Sure, one or two can be seen in a crowd or if there was a need for a policeman, etc., I suppose, cast to keep us quiet. Were it not for MSNBC, CNN and other news oriented programs , there would be no attractive, bright, articulate black folks on major TV channels! Certainly no programs viewed by most Americans. There has never been a Hallmark production, to my knowledge, whose stories couldn't equally be told by an attractive all Black cast. Most are just everyday, boy meet girl storylines without any reference to race. These storylines wouldn't have to change. The black middle class is no different from the white middle class. We fall in and out of love like everyone else! And we have beautiful and handsome actors, too! I am so grateful for the TV news outlets whose bright, knowledgeable minority emcees and their guests make me proud and educate those who for so long have been unaware that we even exist! Singing and dancing and hitting a ball is not all that we do! It's just all we've been allowed to do! I'm counting on Hallmark. It's the first greeting card counter I approach no matter the occasion! I want their channel to be the first I go to when I'm in the mood for love!

Taye Diggs is a BMW. "Murder in the first" and now "Good Wife" right after "Grey's Anatomy".
