It’s been almost four years, but your patience has been rewarded, and the wait will soon be over.

Cartoon Network’s late night Adult Swim programming block, has announced that the fourth season of Aaron McGruder’s The Boondocks will begin on the network on April 21st.

There had been rumblings that a new season was scheduled to begin soon, but, until this week, there had been no confirmation. The network has started broadcasting a brief commercial announcing the air date for the start of the new season.

Of course no other information was given, but considering what has transpired over the past four years during the show's hiatus, it’s safe to say that the writers have a ton of material to work with.

I was expecting the new season to debut this month. I wonder why it was pushed back.
