"The Interrupters" Now On DVD/Blu-ray + TV Debut On PBS Tonight! + Star Ameena Matthews On "Colbert"

So you say you missed it when it was in theaters and you really want to see it?

No sweat... you now have 2 additional opportunities to do so.

First, the critically-acclaimed Kartemquin Films release, The Interrupters, is now officially available on DVD/Blu-ray today, the 14th of February, so you can pick up a copy.

Secondly, it'll make its US television premiere TONIGHT on PBS Frontline, airing at 9pm EST / 8pm CST.

Also, violence interrupter, the force of nature that is Ameena Matthews, appeared on The Colbert Report on Wednesday, February 1st, on Comedy Central; watch the conversation below, which also includes a clip from the film (trailer underneath):

    If thousands of white males were killing each other-folks would have rallied together and do everything in thier power to save those boys. You would have everybody working together-not one group battling another like we see among our people.

    I love that Ameena did this interview but if there thousands of young white males killing each other, there would be no joking about the situation.
