And the beat goes on... another month, another festival for S&A to cover :)

SXSW already announced an initial slate of 7 films that'll screen during its 2012 event, including Kevin Macdonald's Bob Marley documentary, and a horror flick titled Citadel which co-stars Brit actress Wumni Mosaku.

I told you about both films in a previous post.

And just a few minutes ago, the festival unveiled its full 2012 lineup; it's a long list as expected (they show a lot of films), and I'll be spending some time going through it to highlight any titles of that fit this site's focus.

But I can tell you that, as the heading for this post states, Matthew Cherry's feature directorial debut The Last Fall (photo above) Carol Morley's Dreams Of A Life (which stars Zawe Ashton) and the 21 Jump Street big screen adaptation are all on the list.

These are all films we've written about quite a bit, so you should be familiar with them all.

Congrats especially to the non-studio films and filmmakers - Matthew (this will be the film's world premiere), and Carol (hers will be a USA premiere, since it's already screened in the UK).

Matthew documented much of his journey in making The Last Fall exclusively right here on S&A, so catch up with all of his previous posts if you're new here.

Stay tuned for individual profiles of other noteworthy works that we haven't convered on S&A.

Of course, S&A will be at the festival this year with double the effort!
