If you haven't seen it yet, and you've wanted to, you should know that Katori Hall's award-winning play The Mountaintop on Broadway, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett, will close on January 22, just over a week from today - not a lot of time left, so get moving!

The show was already previously extended by one week, and there was talk that another extension might happen, however, according Playbill sources, the last show will be the 3 PM matinee January 22.

The show, which opened in September 2011, has grossed over $9.5 million in total, according to BroadwayWorld.com, on its way to $10 million.

The play imagines the night before the assassination of civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., after delivering his legendary 'I've Been to the Mountaintop' speech.

So, what's next? Film adaptation perhaps? :)
