A few months ago I reported that there was news that HBO's 1991 bio-pic The Josephine Baker Story starring Lynn Whitfield as the legendary entertainer, would be coming out sometime on blu-ray DVD. (1991? WOW That was 20 years ago! How times flies! That was back when NO ONE had cable TV!)

Now, they have announced a date. The DVD will be released by HBO Home Entertainment on January 17, 2012; and among the extras with it will be an all-new audio commentary from Whitfield, screenwriter Ron Hutchinson, and associate producer Alisa Taylor.

Nope I'm sure I;m older than you and true Pay TV has been around since the 70's (I remember when movie theaters show used show ads against it) But back in the early 90's few people subscriped to it. People didn't watching HBO in large numbers until the late 90's

Your telling your age. I remember seeing this on HBO when it first came out. Cable TV has been around since the mid/late seventies.
