British actor/filmmaker Eric Kolelas is back with another engaging short film to share.  Crossed Wires is an improvised short film about how "a misunderstanding leads to sombre consequences as two flatmates recall very different turns of event from the previous night."

Inspired by the work of Dean Loxton (Instant Film) and his improvised films, Kolelas initially wanted to play around with the concept of improvisation to expand and create stories for film. He liked the idea of having very loose circumstance, as opposed to a defined story, to create something, and Crossed Wires is the result.

Kolelas' Crossed Wires co-star is Daisy Ridley.

Kolelas is best known for his award-winning short film Fifty Pence, which is also nominated for The Dutch Golden Stone Award at the SCENECS Film Festival in the Netherlands this week.

Check out Crossed Wires, and see if you don't get as uncomfortable as I did watching it (which, to me, is a good thing).

Awkward, yes, because this young man just realized he's a rapist I the eyes of the law.

That happened to me once before. But then I showed the solicitor the videotape, and charges were dropped. This movie captured my experience brilliantly.

This film really moved me. I didn't know who to feel sorry for-- the girl or the guy? That's a very tough situation to find oneself in.
