It premiered yesterday, in case you forgot. Did anyone watch? And if so, thoughts on what you saw and heard?

Steve Harvey (that's the title of the show) premiered on NBCwith promises of a "funny, fresh, insightful and common sense approach," with topics that will include the usual suspects, especially if you're familiar with the talk show formula: relationships of all kinds, love, sex, money matters, etc, etc, etc.

In yesterday's premiere episode, topics tackled included the following:

- It was Steve to the rescue when he helped the man dubbed "The Worst Dater In America!"

- Steve gave him tips to help him and others like him on the dating scene.

- Steve heard from a husband who thinks his wife shares way too much information about their life all over the web.

- Find out the must-know questions you should always ask yourself before posting something about your kids online.

- Former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky reveals the best dating destinations from one side of the country to the other!

- And finally, Steve’s exclusive interview with the world’s only robot comedian!

I didn't get a chance to watch it yet, although I'm planning to once I get a few things off my desk, and I'll share my own thoughts then. But in the meantime, feel free to share yours now, if you did watch it.

Here's a preview of what you missed:

If are a preacher, how do you approve young living together without marriage?

WHY DOES THE AUDIENCE HAVE TO APPLAUD AFTER EVERY STATEMENT AND PRESENTATION. IT IS OVERKILL, DISTRACTING, AND ANNOYING.

About 2 1/2 years ago I retired. I was a huge fan of the Ellen show. Their had been commericals that Steve Harvey was going to be having a daytime talk show. I looked the first day and a now hooked. I look at the show everyday. The show is funny, has great information and gives good advise and also helps people who need help. Steve is very giving and funny. Today 2/18/13, I was looking and the Ask Steve portion came on. A lady stated she purchased a television and noticed after getting home that the clerk had given her $40.00 too much. I immediately thought why does this lady need Steve harvey to tell her the right thing to do, does she not have any morals?. Well to my suprise Steve asked her some questions, but his answer to her shocked me. He advised her to keep the money she was over paid. I was confused due to the fact that Steve constantly states that all of these new things that haved happened to him such as his new show and hosting Family Feud" by the way my husband and I look at everyday and nite,"are all blessings. How can someone who is so blessed give such an answer ? I still love the show but was very suprised at his answer.

Come on now. Dr. Mitchell came across as a hood rat. It's not cool to portray black people who can't form complete sentences. Good as he appears let's move beyond low black and Ebonics. I know Harvey is cool but let's smart up not dumb down.

This is for Steve Harvey, I watch your show every day and I really enjoy it. Oh PLEASE, I have one thing to ask, an idea. I am sooooooo sick of every one putting down the honey boo boo show, they say how bad it is while they sit with there dresses up to there butt. Just want to stick up for that family. I would like to volunteer my opinion. There just jealous that an over size women and her little girl got such a break. Especially since there so country. Where is the bad example? She saves coupons so she has more money for her daughter, she's always with her girls having a good time, and as far as that stuff she eats or drink to stay awake, all those parents give those little girls the same thing. But I guess it's ok to watch bad girls gone wild or those other terrible shows. Just thought it would be a good idea. Thank You

HATE HIM!.......HATE THE SHOW!.........IT IS BORING, NON-PROVOCATIVE AND HE HAS UNIFORMED, UNEDUCATED AND SIMPLY IDIOTIC SOLUTIONS TO PATHETIC PROBLEMS......THIS SHOW IS ALL ABOUT HIM AND HIS "EGO", NOT ABOUT INFORMING AND EDUCATING THE PUBLIC..........SHOULD HAVE STAYED ON RADIO!!....AND EVEN THAT WAS "GHETTO"............AND FOR GOD'S SAKE, WHAT THE HELL MADE "CUE BALL" SHAVE HIS DAMN HAIR OFF AND GO WITH THE "ISAAC HAYES" LOOK!...........SMILING WITH HIS CROOKED TEETH MAKES HIM LOOK EVEN UGLIER!!!!...............GRADE = F

Love him! I'm home all day and he just has me smiling and laughing during his whole show. He's a sincerely kind, confident, happy person who likes and loves people and sees humor in almost all situations.
Between Steve and Judge Judy, I have a fun afternoon.

Love Steve Harvey and was really excited to watch the premiere of his talk show. Still love Steve Harvey...the show...not so much. It was bumpy and I did not think he found his groove. The topics were boring and no one on the show held my attention. Since I am home on vacation for the week, I also looked at the other new talk show premieres, including Ricki, Jeff Probst, and Anderson. I couldn't even watch all of Ricki..it was that boring. Jeff Probst also had a lukewarm show. Anderson held my interest long enough to make the decision to watch his second episode. Niecy Nash was FABULOUS! She is bold and funny.

Steve, I love you, but your show was disappointing. I like you 100% better on Family Feud.

  • Texas44 | September 10, 2012 11:42 PMReply

I liked the show. I think it is entertaining and offers good advice.

Keep up the good work Steve.

I don't believe Ellen is all that funny, but I like her as well. Ellen's show is hollywood driven and sometimes it gets really old seeing the stars come on to promote their next project.

  • Hunn | September 7, 2012 3:47 PMReply

It is just too much going on in an hour. He is not funny and he thinks his little sexual inuendos are cute or sexy. NOT - watching this show. Stay on radio. Family Feud is enough SH for one day.

I like Steve Harvey but I just think that being a talk show host is a bit too much for him right now. Maybe if he had a co-host to help him carry on a one hour show, and not only that the jumping back and fourth of different topics needs to come to a stop. I will continue to watch (for now) but if it gets any worse I will go back to watching the Peoples Court.

I saw the robot segment with the lady from MIT. That segment was cute. I actually caught the last 15 minutes of the show today. The show is about what I expected. It wasn't bad, but it doesn't really add anything to the existing talk show landscape. Ellen already has the comedian's spin on the talk show covered. I also heard that Jeff Probst of "Survivor" hosting fame is getting a show. It's the '90s all over again. When will people understand that being an entertainer does not automatically equal being a good or even decent talk show host?

  • ChgoSista | September 5, 2012 12:06 PMReply

I watched 1/2 of yesterday's premiere episode. It's "a-iight"--it doesn't totally stink up the joint. Basically, it's Steve's radio show, minus Carla/Shirley/Nephew Tommy, on TV, in a talk-show format. I will say this--his set is MIGHTY 'glossy'. :)

  • Priss | September 5, 2012 11:55 AMReply

I'm sorry. I can't even stand to look at his photo on this blog or hear that voice on the radio, let alone watch an episode of whatever this is.

  • Barry | October 10, 2012 12:20 PM

AGREED!.........I do not like him, but, his teeth would put Mr. Ed to shame, wouldn't it!!.....Damn, he has some BIG teeth!!!

  • D.C. Kirkwood | September 5, 2012 4:28 PM

    Can't stand the man. Co-sign. I won't be watching.

  • BluTopaz | September 5, 2012 4:01 PM

Same here. He looks like Mr. Potato Head, how anyone can have a convo with him and keep a straight face is beyond me.
