It screened publicly for the very first time last night at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles, where I'll be by this time next week; so I obviously wasn't present for the premiere. I had to make some decisions on when I could be there, and it turned out that the latter half of the festival was better suited for me.
I haven't read any reviews of it online yet, although that doesn't mean there aren't any; so all I can count on at this point are the reactions from those of you in LA who did attend the star-studded premiere event.
The film officially opens on April 20th, just over 2 months from now.

I can't imagine this book inspiring a good movie.
