NickMom has ordered 13 episodes of Instant Mom (working title), the primetime TV block's first original scripted comedy series, starring Tia Mowry-Hardrict

The half-hour series is set to premiere later this year on NickMom and repeat on Nick at Nite.

Instant Mom follows young party girl Stephanie (played by Mowry-Hardrict) who trades in cosmos for carpools when she marries an older man, Charlie (Michael Boatman), with three kids. Stephanie slowly grows into her role as a full-time stepmom while struggling to maintain some sense of her fun-loving, slightly irresponsible life.

Sheryl Lee Ralph stars as Stephanie's mother Maggie, with Sydney Park, Tylen Williams and Damarr Calhoun rounding out the cast, playing the 3 kids.

The series is created by Warren Bell and Jessica Butler and executive-produced by Howard Gould and Aaron Kaplan).

Since leaving The Game last year, Mowry-Hardrict hasn't skipped a beat. Currently she stars in (with her sister Tamera Mowry-Housley) and executive produces the STYLE network series Tia & Tamera, which set a record as the most watched series launch in the network's history. Season 3 returns summer 2013.

She also recently released her debut book Oh Baby!: Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another, filmed & released a fitness DVD, and with her sister, is developing a product line called MILKY! set to be released later this spring, and will appear on the big screen in the upcoming Fox Searchlight Pictures film Baggage Claim, to be released fall 2013.

Nice. She bounced back after that money fiasco with BET. Looking forward to this.

Glad she is moving on. She and "Pooch" WERE 'The Game'. Like some say, when one door closes, another one opens. She'll do well.

Good for Tia. I was watching the episode of Tia and Tamera when she was let go and cory said something of the lines of "knowing your worth" i guess her faith paid off.

I had no idea she was let go. I thought she left. Her character was so annoying on the show, but man she was a good actress. Without her and Pooch the show is painful to watch. The new leads do not even compare. And are both even more annoying that Melanie could have ever been. I am happy that she is a well adjusted child star.

I was so glad she decided to do this. Though admittedly, she didn't seem that pressed when it came down to it... just a little sadness about having to say goodbye to the comfort of it all. The Game has made her a hot commodity...time to enjoy the pay off!
