So... this should be interesting, and definitely worth watching, even if you've never watched an episode of BET's Don't Sleep! with T.J. Holmes: a panel that includes John Singleton, Victoria Mahoney and our favorite film critic Armond White.
And with those 3 names, I'm sure you can guess what tonight's topic of conversation on the show will be.
On this episode of Don't Sleep!, T.J. Holmes will talk about how African-Americans influence Hollywood and how Hollywood influences African-Americans. Are African-Americans under or misrepresented in Hollywood? Do we need more Black writers and directors? Do Black people in movies help contribute to stereotypes? See what Don't Sleep! has to say about Black Hollywood tonight Wednesday, December 5th, at 11P/10C.
All topics (and more) that we've discussed/dissected/chewed on/spat out/ingested again/chewed on and digested some more/etc, etc, etc. on this site; you get the picture :)
But I'm still curious to hear what tonight's trio (and the show's host) have to contribute to these topics. So I'll definitely be watching. I might even live-tweet it too.
By the way, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Victoria Mahoney's Yelling To The Sky opens in NYC next week Friday, December 14, which will be followed by a major market roll out, in conjunction with a release on cable VOD and all major digital download platforms - via MPI.

Will be tuning in. I haven't seen these types of discussions since Tavis Smiley's BET days.
