Check out this trailer for an upcoming animated TV series I received, titled Urbance from Canadian director Joel Dos Reis Viegas, for Steambot Studios (a Canada & USA-based visual development studio who work in a variety of media platforms, including film and TV).
I'm told that it's not yet officially a TV series, but the filmmaker and the studio likely plan to pitch it to TV networks, after working on creating the world of the series for some 3 years (anime takes a long time to complete).
The synopsis reads:
In the big city, gender war rises. Sex is prohibited because of a genetic deadly virus. Ruled by hate and anger, boys and girls grow up apart from each other, forming rivals gangs. Among these lost teenagers, Kenzell and lesya will fight adversity and defy all the rules in order to live their love and restore peace.
A website has been set up for the project (HERE) where you'll find lots more information about the proposed serial, including a bunch of still images, and a breakdown of each character from each gang.
No ETA yet on when we can expect to see the first episode, whether online, or on TV. But it's got my attention, so I'll certainly be paying attention for any updates.
Here's the trailer:

Sadly that is exactly what the future is going to be like soon. I seen this on Tumblr last night and liked what I see. This and The Boondocks Season 4 is what I'm waiting for.

The hyperlink to the website doesn't work, Tambay. Project sounds interesting, though.
