Here's the first look at the suspense thriller Catch .44 starring Forest Whitaker, Bruce Willis, Malin Akerman, Nikki Reed, Deborah Ann Woll and Brad Dourif

Synopsis:

For Tes (Akerman) and her two cohorts Kara (Nikki Reed, the "Twilight" franchise) and Tara (Deborah Ann Woll, "True Blood"), the job sounded simple enough: intercept a double-cross drug shipment for their crime boss Mel (Willis) at an isolated diner. But when an unstoppable chain of events unfolds, everyone soon realizes no one is who they seem and the job may be something other than eliminating the competition. What started as simple instructions has now turned into a deadly cat-and-mouse game – with large guns pointed at everyone.

The film, which was directed by Aaron Harvey, will be hitting theaters in New York and North Carolina on December 9 then will be available December 20 on Blueray and DVD.

It is disappointing to see this film with a Hollywood superstar, a Best Actor Oscar winner and a gorgeous and talented rising Swedish actress in it only getting a limited release before immediately going to DVD. It deserves better than to be ignored by the public when it finally comes out.

Maybe it's not getting a full release because the movies contents are nothing progressive. This and alot other small crime films on a budget are often lamented as Pulp Fiction clones. Generally these films have lot more depth any of the big block buster crime films today.
