The 17-min film Okechukwu, helmed by Anayo Amuzi, is part of the narrative short lineup in next month's Pan African Film Festival. The Nigerian/US production tells the story of a Nigerian man who is new to America, "works in a dead-end job and lives with his brother and his wife. While searching for a new job, he discovers what truly makes him happy."

Watch the two trailers below. Although silent, I found them to be quite special in their production quality and choice of music.

Check it out!

This looks really sweet. I want to see it. Question: The brown-skinned woman with the headwrap, that the main character seems interested in - does she resemble an Igbo woman? Thinking of the conversation re Thandie Newton in that African movie. Would this woman here be a better representation?
