SILVER SPRING, MD, March 27, 2013 - TV One, which entertains, informs and inspires Black adult viewers, announced today its plans to air the Verizon's How Sweet The Sound Road to Gospel Greatness: The Finale hosted by R&B and gospel music superstar Michelle Williams on Sunday, March 31, at 10 PM/ET.

The one-hour television special will feature performances by each of the regional finalists as well as the announcement of the grand prize winner. The choirs were judged based on their winning performances at the regional shows by a distinguished panel of judges in the gospel music community that included CeCe Winans, Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker and James Robinson from Light Records. During the program, the public will have an opportunity to text their votes to select the winner of the Verizon People's Choice Award.

"This entertaining and soul-stirring program is an excellent addition to our lineup of originals and specials celebrating the Black experience."

"The music, talent and the energy in this season of How Sweet the Sound exceeded all our expectations," said Laura Laughlin, General Manager Momentum Entertainment Group. "We are extremely thrilled to partner with TV One to deliver the finale, a true celebration of gospel music, to a larger audience and into so many homes."
