SILVER SPRING, MD, September 9, 2013 – D’Angela Proctor has been tapped to lead TV One's original production team as Senior Vice President of Programming and Production by Alfred Liggins, President & CEO, TV One.  Reporting to Liggins, Proctor will provide strategic direction of all original programming and oversee all development and current production for the network.

“D’Angela is a stellar choice to help us build on the programming success we’ve achieved at TV One,” said TV One President and CEO Alfred Liggins.  “Her strong relationships throughout the creative and production community have already proven beneficial as we continue to develop our slate."

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the evolution of TV One,” remarked Proctor. “It’s an honor to be a part of the team behind signature series like Unsung and R&B Divas.”

Proctor joins TV One from Strange Fruit Media, where she was a co-owner and co-president.  In the 15-year history of the company, Proctor developed, created and/or produced music videos, live music and comedy recordings, documentaries, feature films and television series.  In the television arena, Proctor served as Executive Producer and Creative Consultant to BET from 2008 to 2010.  During her stint there, she developed multiple film and television concepts, executive produced "The Family Crews", "Vindicated" and "Sunday Best," which earned the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Reality Series in 2011.  Most recently, Proctor created the upcoming OWN docu-reality series, Crazy.
