A brand new season of TV One's acclaimed series Unsung (maybe one of the best programs in their lineup) debuts tonight with Vesta Williams as its focus.

You'll recall that Williams was found dead in a hotel room in California last September (2011), so a portrait/profile of her is only fitting and timely.

Other celeb scheduled to be featured in episodes of Unsung include Bobby Womack, Atlantic Starr, Freddy Jackson, Whodini, Ray Parker Jr, Sheila E., Full Force and more.

For some reason I wasn't able to embed video promos of the Vesta Williams episode, nor of the new season, so you'll have to head over to TV One's website to watch them.

He wouldn't be on Unsung because he's not Unsung. He was an international star. I think the purpose of the show is to highlight singers who never achieved their full potential - although they did seem confused on that point last season.
