Season Two of House of Lies marks the return of the incomparable Don Cheadle's dynamic portrayal of the despicable yet charming Marty Kaan, and it doesn't disappoint.

When we last saw the gang of Gallweather & Stearn, Marty had just lost his cross-dressing son to his scheming nympomaniac ex-wife due to his own negligence and Jeannie (Kristen Bell) had saved their company from a potentially disastrous merger by stepping out in front of a class-action sexual harrassment suit, effectively ruining her engagement and costing her a possible promotion. The "blower-uppers" were drowning their sorrows with strong sexual tension so the big question is, did they hook up or not?

The premiere explores this through a series of flashbacks, broken up with the announcment of a new CEO and a new client that the professional manure shovelers have to appease. The writing is as sharp as ever, fast paced, and Marty's still breaking the fourth wall like a Black Zack Morris.

House of Lies is fresh, fun, sexy, and debauched enough to make you find management consulting as interesting as you never imagined.

Showtime has a free preview this weekend, so if you're not already signed up, take advantage and find a new show to obsess over.

Airing Sunday at 10pm.

What a coincidence. I just caught episode 1 of season 1 of this on Showtime's current Freeview promotion. This show is something else. The first episode broke almost every moral code you could think of, and it was really interesting.
