A pretty good interview here with Tyler Perry and Peeples director Tina Gordon Chism, although it was mostly focused on Perry.

It's about 35 minutes long, and he reveals a few things in the interview that I think you all would be interested in hearing about; for example, he's working on an animated project that will center around his immensely popular Madea character, as well as third OWN series (initially, 2 were announced, and will debut this spring - The Haves And Have Nots, and Love Thy Neighbor), although he doesn't share anything on what this 3rd series will be; and also he talks creating his 34th Street Films production house to support other talented filmmakers, like Tina Gordon Chism.

In addition, shares his love for sci-fi movies, and reassures that he won't be doing a Madea In Space movie; and he addresses his critics - specifically how he handles reviews of his films.

There's a lot packed into the 35 minutes, which you're encouraged to watch in full below:

I hope Tyler Perry keeps in mind that it will all depend on the animation style, i'm not sure what style he's going with. Boondocks? or regular cartoony? All i know is that it's gonna be a blast, because then Madea can do w/e the character pleases. (Anything will be possible in a animation)

Really dig this interview. It's good to hear more about 34th Street and Tyler's plans to support other filmmakers.

Also: I love Tina Gordon Chism, and 'Peeples' was GREAT!

    Thanks for posting, y'all!

Good stuff. I've always hoped he would work with other creatives. I'm hoping he can work with people he does not know as well as the ones he already has a history with.
