Star of stage, screen, and music, Valarie Pettiford will be appearing in recurring roles on two shows on two major networks this fall - on the third season of HBO’s Treme, and on CBS’s new drama series, The Golden Boy.
No word on what her role in Treme will be, although it's said to be a
Co-starring Chi McBride, the CBS ensemble drama follows one cop's meteoric rise from officer, to detective, to police commissioner.
McBride will play a Detective named Don Owen, described as gruff; Don Owen gets a new partner in a young, ambitious cop who rises rapidly through the ranks after breaking up a major drug ring and becoming a local hero.
Pettiford will play McBride's wife.
She will next be seen on screen in the dramedy Note To Self, alongside Christian Keyes and Richard T. Jones.
Also, expect a new album titled Velvet Sky, which is being released in October.

Talk about the fountain of youth. This woman is 52 years old. Can you believe that? I saw her in Jumping the broom and I was like she still looks great. Talented actress and best wishes to her.
