Just in case you were wondering, as I'm sure you all were... from The Hollywood Reporter:

The sixth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise will be split into two movies. Vin Diesel... said that during the planning process of the new movie, the Fast and Furious creative team... realized that they would need a seventh movie to tell their story. The sixth and seventh are being written simultaneously... “With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space,” Diesel told THR... A coda at the end of the movie teases the return of a character played by Eva Mendes last seen in 2 Fast 2 Furious as well as the return of Michelle Rodriguez. “We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages,” Diesel explained.

So there ya have it; It'll be like a reunion celebration in #s 6 and 7.

Who's in, and who isn't?

Fast Five was blockbuster popcorn fun, but, even with the tease towards the end of it, I can't say that I'm looking forward to 1, let alone 2 more films in the franchise. What else could they do with it?

Man Come on !!!! I LOVE Fast and Furious... They Could continue to make them Forever as far as I'm Concerned. You can never have enough fast Cars, great actors that fit together and a great storyline. Heck they can even do what they did in tokyo drift and go a different. I give you an example: How many times can you retell the same batman story?

Glad to hear it! I'm a car enthusiast and I dig the characters in this franchise so I'm definitely looking forward to the next two movies. I hate it ever has to end..

I really enjoyed the first and last film of the franchise. Although it's not really my type of movie; there's plenty of really thrilling action sequences. I really enjoyed Michelle Rodriguez in the first; so, I look forward to the next.

Nice how they try to play off these movies as if there's some great character development and parallel plotlines. It's a summer blockbuster, not a potentially awardwinning thriller for God's sake.

Two movies? Wow, I guess I didn't realize how much was left unresolved.
