In June, we alerted you to Eric Prah, who won the Bronze Medal at the 39th Annual Student Academy Awards, for his short animated film, My Little Friend.
The medal placements were announced at the awards ceremony, which featured Laura Dern, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Greg Kinnear and Mena Suvari, as presenters, alongside Academy President Tom Sherak at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
Eric is an animator, which we all thought was/is great, as we rarely hear/read/write about black animators, even though they are out there.
Prah attended Ringling College of Art and Design, in Sarasota, FL, and he's now made his Student Academy Award-winning short film, My Little Friend,available for viewing in full online; so watch it below:

I actually wanted to go to school for animation (no money and poor support from family has landed me in journalism school but greta jon Eric! Ringling is a tough school and it's true you never hear about black animators, but proud of him!
