this tale soooo reminds me of Jesmyn Ward's "Salvage the Bones"...at least in part...a few parts. that novel should be made into film, too. a young girl is the lead protagonist, surrounded by males, a storm comes,climb into the roof to wait it out, etc. etc. etc. lots of parallels. a great story there and also a seemingly good story here. but i digress by comparing. i want to see this film.
