Here's a cute and comical short film from South Africa, written and directed by Miklas Manneke, called "E-lectricity."

It centers on a poor township on the outskirts of Johannesburg that's thrown into darkness every night due to a lack of electricity. And what's worse, a paraffin shortage is threatening to make desperate matters even worse.

So it's up to a young nerdy inventor named Walter Hiase (played by Thokozani Ngoma) to come up with a solution, after many embarrassing trials and errors.

It's all very charming and eviromentally friendly as well.

Take a look below.

You miss the point of the short film. The point is to never give up and continue to try and make a positive impact on your communities lives. Let me state this. If you don't have anything positive to say, don't say anything at all.

Unfortunately Walter squandered his opportunity with Thimble, He should have pulled her COOGI dress to the side and created static electricity through linear repetition.
