House Of Lies

Don Cheadle's new dark comedy TV series for the Showtime network, titled House Of Lies (based on the book House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time by Martin Kihn) stars

Cheadle as Marty, a highly successful, cutthroat consultant who will use any means (or anyone) necessary to get his clients the information that they want.

Showtime picked up the pilot and ordered 12 episodes of the series which will make its

official debut on the network on SundayJanuary 8th2012, at 10PM.

Heroes alum, Dawn Olivieri, plays Monica, Marty's "crazy, pill-popping ex-wife and biggest professional competition, as her consulting firm is No.1, compared to Marty's No. 2."

And, Glynn Turman, last seen in Burlesque and Takers, will co-star, playing Cheadle's father.

Don recently signed a 1-year first-look deal with Showtime, under which he and his producing partners will develop and executive produce series projects for the cable channel.

While we wait to see what other tricks he has up his sleeve, here's the 3rd trailer for House Of Lies, which shows much more footage than the previous 2 teasers.

I will be watching this. Shebababy, I understand your sentiment, but I have to ask. Do you think that maybe the marketing team of cable network is afraid of losing mainstream (read white audience) if they show to many cullud faces. Also maybe he is portraying a Black character in a work environment that is basically lily white. I know are work (and creative environments that sometimes we the fly in the buttermilk. Also for me personally, I'm always interested in the number of cullud folks behind the camera.

Where did you get him as being the "only" minority esp. when the post stated that Glynn Turman co-stars? And checking the imdb page shows more black actors including two child actors (yeah!), asians, isreali, indian, arab ... and doesn't look like the listings are complete yet. I'd give it a try.

I'll never understand how a black actor can be the star of his/her own show AND be a producer on it...yet be the ONLY minority on the show. I'm really beginning to think that black folks in Hollywood have a subconscious racism against themselves and seeing themselves on the big and small screen. Will not be watching.

I feel like the meat in an idiot sandwich. Dumb and Dumber 2.0.
I love Don and will have to find a way to watch this; not a fan of the boob tube but if Cheadle's on, I'm in!

Shebababy, you took the words right out of my mouth!
And your theory on our subconscious self-imposed racism? I'd attack it like a troll if it didn't contain so much truth!
(Oh, and needless to say, I won't be watching either!)
