About That Popular 'Black Films Don't Sell ...Watch Episodes 1 & 2 Of New Nigerian Series 'Gidi Up' (4 Friends, Their Dreams & Nightmares)
Here are episodes 1 &2 of the Nigerian web-series we told you about earlier this month.
The Lagos-set web-series titled Gidi Up, is described as "a thrilling adventure centered around the lives of four friends in pursuit of happiness, success and independence. However, a few wrong choices quickly turn their Lagos dreams into a Gidi nightmare."
"Gidi" is a slang term for Lagos.
The 8-part web-series stars Deyemi Okanlawon, Oreka Godis, Somkele Iyamah and Karibi Fubura, and is written and directed by Jadesola Osiberu.
It was scheduled to premiere today, February 20th, via ndaniTV - an online TV platform showcasing African art, business, sports and more.
The first 2 episodes have been released and are embedded below, and while I can't say that I'm hooked based on what I've watched in these 2 episodes, I'll check out the next one, at least.:
