The marketing campaign has begun, on the heels of NBC unveiling the mid-season debut date (January 72013) for Deception (initially titled Notorious, and then switched to Infamous, and now will be called Deception).

It'll air on Monday nights, in the 10pm - 11pm hour, following The Biggest Loser at 9pm, until the return of The Voice.

Deception stars Meagan Good as detective Joanna Locasto, a female detective who returns undercover to the wealthy family she grew up in - as the maid's daughter - to solve the murder of the notorious heiress who was once her closest friend - celebutante Vivian Lawson.

The NBC series co-stars Laz AlonsoVictor Garber, Tate Donovan, and Katherine LaNasa co-starring.

Laz Alonso is slated to play NYPD detective Will Sacovitch, who recruits Good's character, his former flame, to team up and infiltrate the Lawson home - led by Victor Garber as Robert Lawson, and Tate Donovan as his son.

Congrats to Meagan.....I love Victor Garber.......I'm not mad at the opportunity to see Laz Alonso on tv every week. My eyeballs have earned the weekly Laz eye candy.

I am really happy for Meagan Good she's been acting for a very long time. I remember Meagan when she had her first breakthrough in Eve's Bayou when she was only sixteen. Finally, Meagan is getting her moment to shine wonderful to see another black actress get a lead role on a mainstream network!

This definitely has the makings of a hit. If Revenge is popular, why wouldn't people go for this?

Revenge definitely came to mind when I was watching the trailer.

This may be a strong prediction or straight paranoia but why do I feel like black people are gonna be reamed and raked over the coals on this show?
