This doesn't look awful, but it's not proprietary viewing that you slap $12 bucks down for either. I agree with @YEAH. This looks more Lifetime movie that you watch on a Saturday night because there's nothing else on. ... After seeing "The Best Man Holiday," I realized how much I have missed seeing Nia on screen. But I've always heard rumors too, as someone else mentioned, that she's not the easiest person to work with on set. ...So I have to wonder if that has hindered her, at all, from working more and in more high-profile projects.

I like Tyler and I'm glad he's keeping black actors employed, but I think Lifetime did this already with an all white cast. He needs to change it up a little and make more suspenseful crime-ridden thrillers, without him starring in them of course. Find some new talent because there are plenty of young blacks girls/ladies/boys/men who would love a chance at finding fame, let's face it, the white studios aren't looking for them or even allowing them to audition.

yep just another Mantan movie from Tyler Perry himself

Ill go support Nia. That's my girl. Her career needs all the help it can get. Just Sayin!!!!!!!!!

This doesn't look good at all. But kudos to Tyler Perry for continuing to tell stories his way, even though it seems like he is compromising more and more to the powers that be.

Going for the women audience Tyler? I know we guys want to go see this right guys?!

first part of trailer says "ZZZZ Cliche" middle = some laughs, end= predictable

  • Adam Scott Thompson | December 11, 2013 10:23 PMReply

This is premiering on OWN, right?

  • CareyCarey | December 11, 2013 11:35 PM

*LOL* @ Mark and Darla's premiering sites. I have to give it to y'all, that was funny and clever.

But let's be fair, Adam's "Crumbs in The Bed" was a web series. We all know they can be hit and miss and a learning process. To his credit he did get off the couch and put the thang together. Also, he accepted all the feedback (which we all know can be very brutal up in here) with class. Anyway, watch out, since he has been spending less time on the boards (not running his mouth like many of us) I predict his next offering will be a goodie.

  • Mark and Darla | December 11, 2013 10:55 PM

Where is 'crumbs in the bed' premiering....down the street... around corner... under the train track... back in the alley at big mamma greasy pigfeet jute joint...bring your own chair, dollar store popcorn and cherry pop.

Maybe spike lee 'oldboy' should have premier on OWN.

This actually looked descent. I just wish TP was not also acting in it. Somebody else needs a job. Good subject matter, and even though it's cliche' these things do happen. I just hope that TP won't ruin a good idea by "blaming" all of the women for their problems. But, hell, he probably will so...

  • Anonymous | December 13, 2013 6:39 PM

This coming from someone who doesn't know how to spell the word, "decent."

  • Phred G | December 11, 2013 7:10 PMReply

Okaaaay. Let's play: COUNT THE CLICHES AND TROPES! (yelled enthusiastically by the audience when the sign lights up). The 'eye' comment was pretty good. And it's good to see a sistah move from commercials ("Are you FLO?!") to a film job. Not sure how/why Nia and Terry signed on to this project but hey . . . it's TP! It'll prolly do well.

  • beemooree | December 12, 2013 3:00 AM

bc no one is checking for nia like they use to. Nia is not a very nice person. Shes above this type of material but her career is not what it use to be

  • Phred G | December 11, 2013 11:00 PM

Mmmmmm could be for Nia in that IMDB lists this as her most current project.
Terry however is doing ok imho. Has a few projects in post-production, is a
character in BROOKLYN NINE-NINE and has a recurring role in THE NEWSROOM.
