The season finale of season 2 aired just over a year ago, and fans of HBO's acclaimed New Orleans-set drama Treme (created by David Simon and Eric Overmyer that premiered on April 11, 2010) have since been waiting patiently for season 3 to begin.

Last week, the cable network finally announced that a 10-episode season 3 run will start on Sunday, September 23, at 10pm.

As previously announced, this will the the penultimate season for Treme, as plans are for season 4 to be its last before it goes off the air.

Clarke Peters, Wendell Pierce and Khandi Alexander all make up the series' ensemble cast of many, and are returning.

A teaser for season 3 has been released by the network. Watch it below (as for me, I have so much TV catching up to do, so I'm totally lost when it comes to this series):

So many posts from a website full of black viewers who keep claiming they want quality shows/movies that treat black characters as equals and fully rounded human beings as well as address serious issues that concern them. Oh, well. Not every show can match the levels of "Single Ladies".
