Almost Human

Here's the first trailer Almost Human, FOX's futuristic thriller from Fringe executive producer, writer, director and showrunner, J.H. Wyman, as well as creator J.J. Abrams.

Michael Ealy co-stars alongside Karl Urban in a series described as an action-packed buddy cop show set in the near future, where all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved humanlike androids.

Ealy plays a character named Dorian, the android partner of LAPD officer John Kennex (Karl Urban), who understands humanity more than his human counterpart.

Wyman penned the script for the project, and also executive produces, alongside Abrams and Bryan Burk, with Kathy Lingg and Reid Shane.

Brad Anderson, who just directed Halle Berry in The Call, directed and co-exec produced the pilot.

USA Network canceled the last TV series Micheal Ealy starred in - Common Law - after just one season, last fall, so I'm sure this was a welcomed gig.

He'll next be seen on the big screen in Screen Gems' remake of the 1986 rom-com, About Last Night.

Meanwhile, Mekia Cox plays Kennex's ex-lover.

FOX has set the new series to air on Monday nights at 8/7c, before its new contemporary take on the legend of Sleepy Hollow, starring Nicole Beharie, which will air 9/8c.

    I'm in.

The "human" cop Urban isn't even fully human. This should be interesting.

I get to see Michael Ealy every week again. Jesus is real! LOL

    Nice background music too

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Ealy has got one, this will last. It has the blessing of the LORD OF RINGS and WILL SMITH, TOM CRUISE philosophy, future, aliens and humans. If this doesn't make it I'd be pretty pissed. It looks like a very good feature film also. It could explore the human cyborg evident future and be a catalyst or forebear for this kind of technology in modern life. The good, the bad and the ugly of it.

The blessing of Lord of the Rings ... lol

This looks very good. Much better than that other ridiculous cop show Common Law, that Michael Ealy was in, where he and his police partner had to attend couple's therapy in order to work together. That was horrible. I'll watch this one. Cheers!

Was thinking the same RB ... I definitely prefer this buddy-cup show to the other one Michael Ealy was in. I watched one or two episodes of that one and couldn't bring myself to continue. I'm still ticked with JJ Abrams for Undercovers, but I'll check this out.

Hey this looks like it could be good. I wasn't sure what to expect but I like what I see.

When I read about this show about four months ago, I was skeptical, but seeing it in action, I think this could work. It looks like FOX has a strong lineup coming this fall.

Doesn't look as good as Sleepy Hollow, but I'll probably tune in for the first few episodes to see if it's any good. At least, Michael Ealy's always nice to look at. :)

This is intriguing. I'll be watching. Love Lily Taylor, and of course, Michael Ealy always brings something interesting to any project he's in.

Either my ad blocker is on steroids, or there's no trailer posted.

    There is no trailer imbedded.

I love Ealy and I love Abrams, but its Fox. This show, however exciting, is on borrowed time. Plus, only Fringe survived, Abrams hasn't had much luck past that. I am optimistic, but honestly skeptical
