The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on August 17, but before that, on July 31, Sparkle: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be available for purchase from RCA Records.

The 13-song soundtrack will include the first single from the film, Celebrate, produced by R. Kelly, and featuring the vocal talents of stars Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston.

The second track will be Houston's version on the gospel classic His Eye Is On The Sparrow.

Both Celebrate and His Eye Is On The Sparrow have already been pre-released, and were posted on S&A last month.

The film's soundtrack will also include all the songs from the original film's soundtrack as well as new original music by Cee Lo Green, who also has a role in the movie. And listen for the voices of Tika Sumpter and Carmen Ejogo, who co-star as well.

Below you'll find the bright and colorful newly-released video for the first single, Celebrate:

Could Whitney be the Heath Ledger to Sparkle's Dak Knight? On the interwebs it feels like a lot of peeps are going to buy tickets because it is Whitney's last work. I feel like it will bump the bottom line beyond expectations. If the movie is as good as the trailer looks, they could have a hit on their hands.

I`m feeling the song and video cannot wait until both the soundtrack and movie is released. I will be the first one to buy my ticket. R.I.P. Whitney 1963-2012.
