Watch New Clip From Upcoming Marvel/G4 Anime Series "Blade" (Premiering This Friday)

That new Marvel Blade anime series we told you about several months back will premiere on the G4 channel (for those with cable TV) this Friday, January 13th at 11 pm ET/PT, and will be followed by another 11 successive half-hour episodes every week thereafter.

Harold Perrineau provides the voice of the titular character, the supernatural Daywalker known as Blade, as Marvel promises "more action, terrifying villains and bloodthirsty monsters than you’ve ever seen before."

Official synopsis reads:

A master of weaponry with a desire to avenge the death of his mother, Blade finds himself in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia in an effort to take down the evil villain, Deacon Frost. With vampire hunter Makoto at his side, they will stop at nothing to destroy Existence, a vampire organization with roots deeply embedded in Asia.

Marvel has released a 1-minute clip from the premiere episode, featuring the title character in action:

    expected more brutality with the fight scenes .......especially coming from G4

    but I'll take it...............
