My parting shot for the day...

The latest creation (although some have said, abomination) from Todrick Hall - the self-proclaimed "Broadway performer, 'American Idol' finalist, Singer, Dancer, 'Glee'-wannabe and YouTuber."

Hall has become famous for his musical parodies of popular works, including Beauty And The Beat and, most recently, CinderFella - each attracting millions of views on his immensely popular YouTube channel

So, naturally, we had to feature one of his productions eventually.

Here's the latest, which landed on y virtual desk a little bit ago: Mean Gurlz, a parody of the hit movie Mean Girls, in which Hall relocates the movie's cast and setting to Compton, CA.

Thumbs up or thumbs down?

This video is awesome!! I like it better than the actual mean girls movie. Too bad there isn't a whole movie of this. I'd pay to watch it. :)

    Yup. Loved it.

The Brandy/Moesha references were classic, lol! I see nothing wrong with this. It is a parody right? And it was done by a black man right? Can't we over exaggerate the idiosyncrasies within our own communities whether we all represent this or not? It's not like he wrote a film that was meant to be taken seriously a la Tyler Perry, lol.

Ha! I'm in. There's definitely some over-acting happening (here's lookin at you Denise). But it looks like a ratchet good time, and I appreciate all the Brandy references.
