Some backstory on this... A USA version of the successful British sitcom The IT Crowd was almost aired by NBC in 2007. It starred Richard Ayoade (who also starred in the original Brit version), Joel McHale, Jessica St. Clair, and Rocky Carroll.
A pilot episode was shot in, and a full series was ordered, advertised by NBC to be aired during the 2007-2008 season.
It was later cancelled, despite the fact that a number of scripts had already been written, stating the series "didn't quite spark" (accoring to THR) with then new NBC chairman Ben Silverman.
The pilot episode that never aired has turned up online, and is embedded below. But you better watch fast because I won't be surprised if NBC pulls it down:

I don't know. Pilots are always rough. I would've tuned in a few more times before I called it.
