I missed this entire series, and just discovered it today, so I'm catching up.
From last fall (September 2012), here's an installment from mediabistroTV's series My First Big Break, which features Spike Lee talking about just that - his first big break.
A lot of this probably won't be news to some of you, but it's nice to actually see and hear him revisit those early days, years before iconic films like Do The Right Thing, Malcolm X, and others.
