In anticipation to the Sundance Film Festival, which runs this upcoming January 19-29, Sundance.org released a video earlier today called Meet The Artists '12: Ava Duvernay, in which our much celebrated, and rightly so African American Film Releasing Movement (AFFRM) founder talks about her inspiration for getting into filmmaking and provides a few details on her new film Middle of Nowhere, which has been accepted into the festival's U.S. dramatic feature film competition lineup.

Take a look!

Her locs are great. I like how she doesn't style them to much. She rocks them down and plain but they are great. I hope she has success at Sundance but the white man wants people getting pushed down stairs by they momma and what not, so who knows.

The movie sounds quite compelling and the moviemaker has a sure passion for it. Good luck to her!
