Here's your first look of some actual footage, as opposed to a still here and there, from the sci-fi/actioner Riddick, the third collaboration involving the character from Vin Diesel and writer/director David Twohy. The only problem is that you don't to see much.
The actual teaser is a mere 21 seconds long. Just as you're about to get into it... POOF! It's gone.
The R-rated film is still scheduled to come out on September 6, and the official plot-line now says that, in the film, Riddick is "left for dead on a sun-scorched planet but he soon finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for him to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of mercenaries, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without his head as their trophy."
Actually that sounds pretty intriguing to me. Makes me want to see it:
