Damn. Had high hopes for this show. But it doesn't at all seem like she'll be able to redeem herself. I chuckle here and there, but it's not funny. CICI is annoying as hell. Just not what it was last season, not even the entire last season! SMH

Problem with ABG is it was a scant concept to begin with. 30 minutes of material that ran out last season midway. I remember Tambay's post, when folks here were hoping that ABG would be an alternative to Lena Dunham's show, "Girls" but the truth is Ms Dunham can write- whether or not we relate to her monochromatic version of life in NYC. I was hoping Issa Rae could up her game this season but I see that's not likely.

She could have taken this to another level and moved up the ladder, but she just moving horizontally across....Her collaboration with Pharell is not pushing what she already has going on, and her latest shows are not the best that she can do. Sad.

"Sometimes I wish I could white-girl my mom: 'Shut the f--- up, Mom. I hate you!" LMAO. Love this show.

Well, THAT part ^ was funny as hell to me, but the rest of the show? Oh boy. This show needs a jolt of humor to restore it to its original hilarity fast! J is becoming less of a sympathetic heroine to me and more of an annoying, passive-aggressive sad sack. I DON'T want to feel that way about her! Her naggy, judgmental mom, introduced in this episode, was such a caricature I cringed listening to her. I hope the next episode, "Job Hunting," is a hell of a lot funnier. I have faith that it will be. Every show's entitled to a lackluster episode here and there. ... https://twitter.com/IvoryJeff/status/234052028740026368

This show peaked midway into its first season and hasn't improved. They didn't need to minutes to tell that 2 minutes worth of story, especially with no real jokes. I really want this to be good, but it's just not anymore.

I used to be a fan. Not anymore.
