While Ice Cube and Chris Tucker work out details on what will be the 4th movie in the Friday franchise, here's a trailer for a UK-produced spoof of the hit original cult classic, titled, what else, Friday UK.

But don't worry, it's not an actual movie that's coming (at least, not yet); as is noted at the start of the trailer, the Sebastian Thiel/Upshot TV production is just a UK tribute to the original film, and there won't be a full feature film of Friday UK. It was done just for fun... or so they say.

Something tells me that if this goes super viral (it's been played almost 40,000 times thus far, since it was made public on YouTube about 2 weeks ago), I wouldn't at all be surprised if the full feature film is commissioned.

The creators do say that they'll release more clips of the spoof every Friday, as long as the trailer reaches a milestone numbers of views.

Here's their Friday synopsis:

Craig has just been fired from his job on his day off only to find himself in even more of a pickle when Smokey gets threatened by the Angry Nigerian Dealer ‘Big Worm’. Craig & Smokey spend the day looking for ways to raise the money while dealing with the neighbourhood bully, relationship troubles and a bunch of odd characters.

Thiel directed the work, which stars Babatunde Aleshe, Tolu Ogunmefun, Adot, KG, Frieda Thiel, Dionne Reid, Wale Ojo, Kat Boyce, Simply Andy, Alesha Pryce, Sharea Samuels, Mr Cee, Kyla Frye, Edward Kagutuzi, Aaron Fontaine, and Michael Salami.

    1. Miss Parker is way too young in this clip 2. Nia Long was the person running. It wasn't Miss Parker running.

It would be nice to see them come up with their own ideas. There is enough talent in the UK to do something original.
