A few weeks ago, I posted a trailer for an *African Samurai* short film titled Hasaki Ya Suda, by Focus Features Africa First French/Burkinabe filmmaker Cedric Ido; and that was received very, very well by you folks, given the number of Facebook *likes,* *shares* and Twitter posts about it. See that post HERE if you missed it.
Today, I bring you a trailer for what we could call an *African Western* titled African Cowboy, written and directed by Rodney Charles.
Its synopsis reads: "A Namibian cowboy is beaten and left for dead in the vast desert, after standing up to a trans-national posse of brutal land-grabbers. However, things change when he's rescued by a mysterious gun-slinger with reasons of his own to get even with the posse."
Sounds intriguing enough, right?
If only the trailer were more convincing... but but it's tickled my interest enough that I'd like to check it out. The landscape definitely adds to its visual appeal.
I only just learned about it today, and, as far as I know, was recently completed and has yet to screen anywhere.
