Below is the trailer for the extremely well-made and quite touching short film Barbasol written by Kiara C. Jones and directed by Ralph Scott, which will be screened at the Urbanworld Film Festival in New York Sept 19-23.
The fim deals with "a man who desires a bond with his elderly father. He realizes that he is running out of time due to his father slipping further into dementia. What he comes to realize is he needs to now turn his attention toward his own son."
The film deals with the subject of mental illness which both Scott and Jones believe is an issue that the black community still has a reluctance to talk about, and that it's an important topic that must be brought out of the shadows.

So very proud of Ralph Scott highlighting Father/Son relationships in such a touching way. What a great first film from a longtime supporter of Black filmmakers.

Can't wait to see this. Looks great. And Ralph is a HUGE supporter and nurturer of Black filmmakers from all over with his Yahoo group, BHERC and BET/Aspire showcases.
