Soldiers Of Fortune

Ving Rhames joins Christian Slater, Sean Bean, Dominic Monaghan, Colm Meaney, Freddy Rodriguez, and James Cromwell, in this actioner titled Soldiers Of Fortune, which will see a combo nationwide theatrical and video-on-demand release this FridayAugust 3, 2012, in the USA.

Directed by Maxim Korostyshevsky, from a script penned by Alexandra Coscas, Robert Crombie and Joe Kelbley, its synopsis reads:

Captain Craig McCenzie (Christian Slater), a former US special forces soldier, is hired to protect a group of millionaires who want to experience the kicks and thrills of war. However, the mission goes horribly wrong and the group gets a lot more than they bargained for.

I actually dig that premise. But it's all about the execution of it, and I haven't seen the film yet, so I can't comment any further, although I'm not sold based on the below clip and trailer.

Rhames is a busy, busy man. He may not be front and center in every film he's in, but he's never really far behind whoever is leading.

Last seen in Piranha 3DD, his IMDB resume shows 9 upcoming projects all shceduled to be released in the next 12 months.

A new clip from Soldiers Of Fortune has been released, which you'll find immediately below, followed by the film's full trailer:
