For all you out there (especially writers) chasing Hollywood dreams (or if you just want some insider knowledge on how the industry works when it comes to packaging your film project), you should appreciate this recent 100-minute panel discussion, brought to you by the WGAW Writers Education Committee, titled Check Out My Package: Making Your Film Project Irresistible.
Moderated by Billy Ray (co-writer, The Hunger Games), the panelists include Erik Feig of Summit Entertainment/Lionsgate, manager David Greenblatt, Randi Hiller (VP of Casting at Walt Disney Studios), Kevin McCormick (producer, and former Warner Bros. President of Production), and agent Graham Taylor from William Morris Endeavor (WME).
In the video, which is actually a couple of years old (but still very applicable), they discuss how to be in the driver's seat when packaging your film project.
