I thought there had already been a trailer for this, but, a quick check informed that the first one was just a teaser, clocking in at just over a minute long; this is the first FULL trailer for DreamWorks’ Real Steel, the Shawn Levy-directed sci-fi flick, starring Hugh Jackman as “a former boxer who teams up with his long-lost son to train a robot for a championship fight.”
S&A reader favorite Anthony Mackie co-stars in the film, playing a boxing promoter.
I just remembered that DreamWorks already announced preparation for a sequel, even though the first one hasn't even been released yet. How's that for confidence! I guess they are so sure Real Steel part 1 will be a definite box office hit...
Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots Real Steel It hits theaters October 2011.

I agree with most of what ROD said it does look terrible.
4real doh how big a role does Mackie have in this joint? I know S&A supports black actors, but this seems to be a waste of resources.

Overall this film it looks terrible. Hugh Jackman sparring with the robot (at time index 1:51) was pretty qool, but Anthony Mackie's cameo in the trailer was truly the only thing going for it.
I am so happy for Anthony Mackie (got to meet him at a Brother To Brother film screening here in NYC) and his career trajectory 'cause he's my man, but I can't support this film... just a low budget Transformers film (and I don't like even like any of the Transformers films either).

That actually looks kinda lame. I won't be seeing it despite the fact it was partially filmed in my hometown, Detroit.
