If you guys liked Glynn Turman in Super 8, check him out in this short film that's sweeping film festival awards! It's called Bright (2011), directed by Benjamin Busch. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1798611/
I peeped Super 8 this morning at 34ths street. The plot is essentially Cloverfield meets E.T. with a bit of The Goonies thrown in. The kids' performances were good and of course, coming from JJ and Spielberg, it was a well made film. I found the main plot of was overshadowed by the corny family drama/first love stories. I guess I was looking for something more "serious". I'm not quite sure how to articulate it. But it was too "light" for me. But I'm sure others will love it. My grade is B-.

Of course the black guy gets it. He should have been wearing a red uniform.
