Filmmaker/activist Byron Hurt has unveiled a brand new trailer for his much-anticipated soul food examination documentary titled Soul Food Junkies, which explores the health advantages and disadvantages of what we call Soul Food - this quintessential American cuisine.

The feature-length documentary, which Hurt has been working on for at least 2 years now, will also be used as the lens to investigate what he calls "the dark side of the food industry and the growing food justice movement that has been born in its wake."

As the trailer says, the film is expected to be released in 2012.
