I've never watched a single episode, but the show was renewed for a second season, so obviously, some people are watching.

Are you one of them? If so, then maybe you watched Sean "P Diddy" Combs play revenge-seeking NYPD Detective Reggie Cole, in episode 21, which aired on April 18th.

Here's a clip from that show, featuring P. Diddy in action:

Let me say I watched ‘Hawaii Five-O’ when it came on and gave it about 3 episodes before I bailed. In thought it was horribly lame and an QUITE surprised that it is a HIT. In fact the L.A. Times said - 'Hawaii Five-0' could become the next billion-dollar franchise for CBS http://goo.gl/RCUuP . Wonders indeed, never cease.

Having said that I saw a 15 second promo for the Sean Combs episode and he was horrible ever second of it. I said I’VE GOT to see this train wreck! Even though I was sleepy, I stayed up to watch it LIVE (DVR isn’t working) and to flip the Dennis Green infamous quote-HE WAS WHAT I THOUGHT HE WAS. LOL. What-a-train-wreck! Besides Combs the show had not gotten any better. McGarrett and Danno still banter like Dave & Maddie on “Moonlighting’. I’m like KISS already! The whole episode was pretty laughable.

I also saw him in ‘Get Him to the Greek’ and he wasn’t that great in that either and that WAS a comedy.

Having said that, I got MAD RESPECT for Puffy’s style, his swagger and his ability to identify a HOT beat. On that accord I am a fan - of his acting-not so much.

"Seriously you only have two options currently on broadcast for crime drama.
ABC and Fox do the contrived buddy procedurals
CBS and NBC do the simplistic bland procedurals"

George, that's an interesting point. I mean, to save my soul, I couldn't tell you which programs came on what networks. Seriously, on my dial, I only know that BET comes on channel 66. I wonder how many other people know what shows come on which networks?

I am probably just an old dinosaur. Well, I do know that sports center is on ESPN.... channel 26.

But if while I am channel checking, if P. Diddy's face appears on my screen, I zap his ass (as quick as I can) like he's a roach crawling across my stove. And I don't care what station it is.

Hawaii 5-0 remake in general sucks. There was a time when Broadcast Television was on the eve of producing some of the most ambitious and authentic crime dramas on television. Instead currently you won't find one on broadcast. You have to go cable to watch the only three quality crime dramas on television currently. (Southland, Justified, and The Closer)

Seriously you only have two options currently on broadcast for crime drama.
ABC and Fox do the contrived buddy procedurals
CBS and NBC do the simplistic bland procedurals.

@ CareyCarey: Please post details on exactly where I too can watch those 2 frogs spitting on each other. After watching that pitiful P.Diddy clip, I too am in need of some redeeming entertainment to cleanse my palate of the bad taste left behind! (Seriously, my wife, overhearing the clip from the other room, asked: "What is that -- some kind of Christian movie?") Jeeeez!

Watching Puffy huff and puff as he pretends being an actor, is a fool's errand and an act of futility. I'd rather watch 2 frogs spitting on each other.

I am reminded of a few lines from the movie Notorious...

"Suge Knight, the owner of Death Row Records,
    had something else in mind.
I'd like to tell Tupac to keep his guards up.We riding with him. And one other thing I'd like to say. Any artists out there that want to be artists and want to stay a star... and don't- don't have to worry about the executive producer... All up in the videos, all on the records, in movies, dancin' and prancin' .. being a fool ass joke, come to Death Row"
