We featured Darius Clark Monroe's last short film - the provocative Slow - on this site a few weeks ago, and it was very well received. There's a reason why he's been previously featured as one of S&A's Black Filmmakers To Watch :) Here's another reason... (thanks Kia):

    Very. Little. Dialogue. Great work.

    Thank you for this. ;-)

Wow! This reminds me of that German short I saw years back. (Can't remember the name of it!) But I believe S&A covered it in one of their previous posts.

Simply awesome and riveting! One of the best and most real shorts I've ever seen. Thank you for this one Darius. He's a dangerous man. :-) I hope other black filmmakers (professional and amateur) watch this and take the example on quality and storytelling he is showing in this piece. These are the films that we as the black culture need to be told. Kudos to all involved.

No problem. It's hard to deny how strong this piece is w/o barely using any dialogue. I can only imagine what Darius can do with a feature film.
