It was a tug of war at the box office between the Dwayne Johnson actioner, Snitch, and Identity Thief; but Thief won out the weekend.

The film came in first, with Snitch coming in second, though the severe snow storm that hit most of the mid-section of the country and northeast during the later part of last week, no doubt, affected box office totals this weekend.

Meanwhile A Good Day to Die Hard took a hard drop at the box office, no doubt, due to bad word of mouth.

1) Identity Thief Uni. $14,064,000 Total:$93,667,000
2) Snitch Sum. $13,000,000
3) Escape From Planet Earth Wein. $11,013,000 Total: $35,144,000
